Downrods cannot be used with "Hugger" or "Flush Mount" ceiling fans, as they are designed to be installed directly to the ceiling. All Modern Forms Downrods are UL, cUL, and CSA listed, ensuring compliance with global safety standards.

The length of the downrod can be increased by joining multiple downrods together using a downrod coupler (SC-xx), allowing for lengths greater than 72 inches. Modern Forms downrods have a single threaded end on the motor side, and the unthreaded side can be shortened in the field to accommodate specific height requirements. For example, if a 10-inch downrod is needed, a 12-inch downrod can be purchased and shortened by 2 inches.
